I started this version last night around 10pm EST and was so out of it by 3am that I don't remember uploading it
I like the third classical lead on that one, Elf. Very cool.
I have another version that's what you might call heavy metal. The acoustic comes in after the explosion
Gonna post it?
Yes. When it is "completed."

I know the link in my last post is dead. There was a server meltdown last night. Restoration should be completed later today.

T'wasn't me.
I listened to the recent collaboration on the way in to work this morning. Again... such a trip. It has taken on a very different life under your hand. To me it sounds like an introduction to some big album-side-long themed piece... that opens all mellow and then gets all prog for about ten minutes, then mellows again.
Want another one?

OK, I have some lyrics bouncing around in my head.. I am going to write a song.. I do have a title.. it is called "Lost in your smile" It is going to be a, and I don't want to use the term power ballad, but a love song.. problem is I am not in a band and altough I played Alto Sax in high school, I am not a musician.. so, I know several of you guys are and I was wondering once I get this thing wrote if anybody would be interested in putting my words to music?

Most interested. Please PM the lyrics when you feel they are complete enough. It'd be fun if all the musical types on the board submitted their interpretation of them.

OK guys, here is the first draft.. make suggestions, maybe what kind of music goes with it.. I am looking for something slow, a love song with a pop/rock feel to it.. this is a dedication to a very special person in my life..
Long talks with a friend is where it all began.
A warm rainy day leads us to our first kiss
with nervous hesitation but full of hunger.
Taking a beautiful Sunday drive,
as new found lovers we explored
and our passion soared.
Long talks? hand in hand? walks in the park and I find myself lost in your smile. Oh, so lost in your smile?
A starry night,
a single star cast it?s light
a symbol of our love for even after your smile is gone
the star will remain and so will our love.
Long talks? hand in hand? walks in the park and I find myself lost in your smile. Oh, so lost in your smile.
Heading South we found a bears den,
wanting to hibernate from the world.
We were hungry for compassion
And we found passion in each other.
The only music playing was our hearts and souls
along with the rhythm and harmony of our bodies .
It's truly amazing when you experience love for the first time and you find yourself lost in each other?s smile.
Long talks, hand in hand, walks in the park with hugs, kisses and tender touches and we are lost in each other?s smile.
One Friday night a bump in the road,
and your smile was gone
replaced by your tears. A very long weekend, lost without your smile?..
Lots of time to think.
Monday came and we realized what we were missing
we were missing each other?s smile. .
Long talks, hand in hand, walks in the park with kisses and tender touches.
And it all began with a friend and long talks, and I still find myself lost in your smile?

well do you think it could be put to rock, or would country suit it better? I dont really know.. you guys are better at this then I am.. country sells too.. maybe one of you guys could make a million dollars with it.. who knows right?
