That's harsh dude.

Now OBL, sure....gimme the shot. I'll take it anyday.

Nobody deserves to be shot in their home...that's punk shit,
and it's too bad he didn't get to fire back.

Hear me out though - that's considering it wasn't a deal-gone-bad or
some other thug-related shit.

If it's the latter....that's the chance you take and I digress.

I agree but like I said Karma is a bitch. Like Keifer Sutherland said in A Few Good Men. "Private Santiago is dead and thats a tragedy. But he is dead because he did not honor the code, and God was watching"

Sean Taylor died this morning.

He'll be tearfully missed here. His past transgressions mean
nothing.

Some of his teammates were at his bedside.

He was a leader-by-example in the Redskins defense, and led
the team in interceptions.

I hope they catch the lowlife-son-of-a-bitch that did it.

Damn y'all....he had a baby girl and a family...

not to be a dick. I feel bad for his family and especially his kid who now gets to grow up without a father. From what I have read, this was not a robbery, this sounded like a hit. I read that he was broken into last week and somebody laid a kitchen knife on his bed. a la Godfather.. I also read he had a machete under his bed. hmmm wonder why?? funny how you don't see guys like Brady, Farve, Manning, and the other hundreds of NFL players who go day to day staying out of trouble, not getting shot. While this is a tragedy for his family, this is just another thug who has died because of his lifestyle. you live by the sword, you die by the sword. sad but true.. :(

He had a machete because he had a legal rap....But you know what?

In hindsight, if he'd been holdin'...___________(fill in the blank)

I take to heart a quote by G. Gordon Liddy:

"It's better to be JUDGED BY TWELVE....than CARRIED BY SIX."

he had a machete because he was not allowed to carry or own firearms, and as far as leading his teammates by example, does that include spitting in your opponets faces.. :? He was judged by twelve more than once. Apparently as we all know too well, money and being a pro football player puts you above the law. The sad thing for his family is the fact that justice was served today. I feel horrible for his family and especially his kid, but this is just another thug who got what he deserved. I wonder how many people Sean Taylor pointed a gun at?

750,000 Redskin fans may not agree with you, but that remains to
be seen.

I don't know his past, nor care. I know Joe Gibbs had him on the
right track, and many tears are being shed here for the person -
not for what he did or didn't do on or off the field.

Any loss of human life is tragic.

Food for thought:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/s ... id=3129417

An article written about his death and recent life right before his death.

EDIT- his teammates and coaches were saying some good things about him regarding this past year- I would venture a guess that he was trying to turn his life around.

From same article:

"It's hard to expect a man to grow up overnight, but ever since he had his child, it was like a new Sean, and everybody around here knew it," Redskins running back Clinton Portis told reporters. "He was always smiling, always happy, always talking about his child."

Thank you Zed.

*Soup is still being a heartless prick* There I said it so you don't have too. :-)

There a lot of guys who are sitting in prison who now are changed men. Too bad they don't have a big NFL contract to get them out of the crimes they commited. Hell, there is a guy in Las Vegas who is now paralyzed because Pac Man decided that he and his buddies should shoot up the club where this guy was working. Wheres the sympathy for that guy?? If Pac Man took a bullet tommorrow, I would stand up and cheer and say good riddance. The list is long. OJ, Ray Lewis, Chris Henry, Hell Rae Carruth only got 20 years for whacking his pregnant girlfriend. He should have gotten the needle. Sorry for being heartless because I could give a rat's ass about Sean Taylor. Maybe if anything good comes out of this that some of these other thugs will take notice and clean up their acts.

As harsh as he's being, he may have a point.
Taylor was a target of someone, that's why I read into this.

I'm guessing Taylor had his kid, and was trying to get out of
his old life, and it ticked people off in that group.
Sounds like he was on the way to a better lifestyle,
but he must have done something to someone in the past
to trigger this.

I'm sure there's more to the story, and it should not be ignored,
especially if it was negative to Sean.

But it is still sad, and condolences to his family.
