Zep- I read this last night and forgot to comment- very well said.
I can't comment because of where I'm at right now, but I'm
nodding.

Of conscience? Who's? the Dems? You stand alone sir, amonst the Dems whose thinking for this entire country is really beginning to frighten me. This bill is a steaming pile of horseshit and if it passes our premiums will all double which would put me out of my house.

Did you really think your vote through sir? Might I suggest you change your enrollement to the "No Spine" party?

I love how they make it sound like working at a health care system for months is a long time, they should be in the works for years at minimum, then implemented over time slowly if at all. Springing something like this is going to drag you further, (and Canada) down. This recent trend of throw money at it and get it done fast IS the economic problem.

Hey... if we wreck our health care system, where are rich Canadians who have been coming here going to go for their health care needs?

BTW... you have an awesome-looking C66 :)

Navies of 2 Koreas exchange fire near border

By HYUNG-JIN KIM, Associated Press Writer

SEOUL, South Korea ? A badly damaged North Korean patrol ship
retreated in flames Tuesday after a skirmish with a South Korean naval
vessel along their disputed western coast, South Korean officials said.

The first naval clash in seven years broke out just a week before
President Barack Obama is due to visit Seoul, raising suspicions the
North's communist regime is trying to rachet up tensions to gain a
negotiating advantage.

D.C. sniper mastermind set to be executed Today

By DENA POTTER, Associated Press
Tue Nov 10, 6:07 am ET

RICHMOND, Va. ? Unless Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine steps in, sniper
mastermind John Allen Muhammad will be executed Today for the
attacks that terrorized the nation's capital region for three weeks in 2002.

Muhammad is set to die by injection at Greensville Correctional Center in
Jarratt. His attorneys have asked Kaine to commute his sentence to life
in prison because they say he is mentally ill. The U.S. Supreme Court
turned down Muhammad's final appeal Monday.

All that I, the victims' families, the wounded and the rest of the region
(that had to squat beside the car in fear to pump gas) can say is....

Good riddance.

Yeah, I still do a "360 scan" when I pump gas. Old habits are hard to
break.

And yes, Malvo is still getting 3-hots-and-a-cot here.

He should be getting what his "mentor" will get today.

Last time I checked our military was voluntary. Nobody twisted your arm to join and you knew the rules going in. You reap the benefits of being in the military and the benefits are really good. note to these people, get a babysitter and get a haircut. If this was a problem, you should have thought about that before you signed and took the enlistment bonus and all the other benefits that came with it.
