Friday indeed, hope we are practicing / recording again this sunday. as long as we overrule the sing we wouldn't have to record the long song too. Really not looking forward to that. Of what we have easily the one I'd never play againBig Blue Owl wrote:Ah, finally Friday again. I can sink into our collaboration project thingy, Elf. I love the weekend
It's difficult to post without a net connection but I'm here in spirit
Still alive, still jamming
This is what fills most of my evenings the days:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89frIKxhUpU
Seperate to my beloved 'Husk' thang (progressing nicely there) but some potential I'm hoping and great fun I must admit!.
A wee clip of the second ever jam featuring the cutting edge talents of three, yes, three posties! Featuring Young Dan on geetar (apart from with me, has only ever played in his room) Punky Nig on bass (who has onlybeen playing bass for two months!) and of course moi
Not for dissection folks, just indicative of how this old person wastes his free time

This poem called "The Last Of Our Kind."
Welcome to the rest of your life
Found the courage to cast the die
Weight lifts from shoulders and mind
Nothing stops us when we're aligned
Think about all you've said
Think about all you wanted to say to those you love
Can you honestly
Say you've made them see?
Weight lifts from shoulders and mind
Unstoppable when we are aligned
Perfect when we are aligned
We are the last of our kind
Welcome to the rest of your life
Found the courage to cast the die
Weight lifts from shoulders and mind
Nothing stops us when we're aligned
Think about all you've said
Think about all you wanted to say to those you love
Can you honestly
Say you've made them see?
Weight lifts from shoulders and mind
Unstoppable when we are aligned
Perfect when we are aligned
We are the last of our kind

Just for contrast, this was my version. What I sent to BBO was this minus the third classical guitar doing the lead stuff.

That was a lot of fun to do
I started this version last night around 10pm EST and was so out of it by 3am that I don't remember uploading it
I like the third classical lead on that one, Elf. Very cool.
I have another version that's what you might call heavy metal. The acoustic comes in after the explosion![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/rebel_biggrin.gif)
