I wrote this long, sprawling post. It took 30 minutes to put together. I was at the end when some blasted combination of keystrokes closed the window and I lost my work forever. I screamed. I nearly wept.
However, the gist of it was;

I agree. Let it all collapse, fall down around us, return to the stone-age. As one business pulls down another and then all of them go into the pit, we will someday return to the simplicity of wearing skins and grunting to communicate. It would all be worth it to realize that the $$$ barons are begging from the homeless. The corporate pigs that, through greed and no oversite brought down the entire world will be in a contest with those that have long been the least of us for the last of the toaster-shakin's. I have lost my give-a-fuck and I long to see, as you on the Right wish for, the collapse.

Testify.

Among other states that have banned or are banning phosphates in
dishwasher detergent are Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan,
Vermont, Minnesota, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York. A bill on
Capitol Hill would impose a nationwide ban.
I am so glad that we are becoming more and more of a nanny state. I am so glad we bought a house in this blasted region.

This...is...so...freakin...absurd.

If I wasn't so far upside down I would sell and move to somewhere else...like North Carolina!

EDIT- grammar

I sympathize with you, Bro.

It starts from the TOP DOWN in your state.

Common sense has got to prevail somewhere.

The April 15th TEA parties are a good start.

No. No. With all the respect I have for ya, Cyg, it sounds like a waste of time and needlessly provoking. On the other hand, if you want to start a war in our collapsing country, you couldn't begin in a better way.

"The Boston Tea Party was a key event in the growth of the American Revolution. Parliament responded in 1774 with the Coercive Acts, which, among other provisions, closed Boston's commerce until the British East India Company had been repaid for the destroyed tea. Colonists in turn responded to the Coercive Acts with additional acts of protest, and by convening the First Continental Congress, which petitioned for repeal of the acts and coordinated colonial resistance to them. The crisis escalated, and the American Revolutionary War began near Boston in 1775."

it would not get nearly so far, unless those with ambition dream it not worthy due to how their blood will be collectively sucked as their success fuels a nation. That is why mediocrity is better than over achieving in todays society, the more you do the more you are punished. It is not their job to save something not worth saving.

As for the Tea Party of today, I don't know about in other cities but the one planned for my town on 15 April is going to be totally different from the original.

There will be no one going to the pier and dumping cargo in the water.

There will be people standing by the 101 waving signs. They are asked to bring some unopened tea which will afterwards be given to the food bank.

They have been instructed to smile at those who honk and wave and ignore anyone who flips them off or speaks in four-letter words.

Oh, there will be a slight similarity. People have been asked to dress up as indians and there is going to be a prize for the best costume.

A "Thunderbolt Of Revenge"
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 10:04 AM

North Korea is issuing threats against Japan if the latter shoots down its
new missile when launched.

Japan (and the U.S.) will have little choice but to shoot down the rocket if it
veers towards either country's soil. If President Obama didn't order the
Navy to destroy a missile headed even remotely close to Alaska, the
signal he'd be sending the rest of the world would be disastrous, and
would undo a lot of the good his resolve on Afghanistan has
communicated.

There is even a push for another 10,000 troops for Afghanistan, on top of
the 21,000 the president has already committed -- so credit and support
where credit and support is due should be coming from the
Congressional GOP.

With Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking bluntly about Iran, and the North
Korean missile launch imminent, President Obama is seeing Joe Biden's
prediction of an early testing coming true. We are all going to get the
measure of the new foreign policy very, very quickly.
Don't start none...won't be none.

Not an April Fools joke, and yeah, I'm cool with that. It is not being done to put down anyone or to make fun of anyone, but as a tip of the hat to the first tea party. If it were being done to be mean or as a slam then it would be upsetting to me.

Oh, heheh, that's kinda cool, then. And you certainly will be the belle of that ball! I'm beginning to think I may go and check out the Tea Party nearest to me on the 15th.
Do you think there is room for a Clayton Moore wanna-be on a Big white horse in blue tights and a black mask? The guns will be full of scotch, just in case anyone needs medical attention. :-)
