I hope they hit his wallet good for that dorkus maneuver.
That's as bad - if not worse - that that idiot (Taylor) from Pittsburgh that
pancaked that backup Miami QB (White) from behind, helmet-to-helmet.
That hit knocked White out COLD. No penalty was assessed. I hope the
league fines Taylor anyway.

Any NFL team can send video to the league office for review- and fines have been assessed without laundry being thrown.

Right! And in White's case, a hefty fine levied on Taylor would be an apt
gesture.
That was nearly a
paralyzing hit White took. It was good to see him
fist-bumping when they carted him off on the stretcher.

When he took off running and passed the line of scrimmage, we was no longer a QB, but a ball carrier. It is not illegal for head to head contact on a non receiving ball carrier.

That part I did not know about the QB passing the LoS...Zep is absolutely correct - good catch Zep.

The only protection afforded a QB who crosses the LOS is the feet first slide.

I gotta thank former 'skins LB LaVar Arrington for calling that one on his
local radio show here.
He nailed Shanahan coming here
weeks ago.

I dont think helmet to helmet contact is legal in any instance. Rodney Harrison used to get fined for that all the time.

Did anybody hear Belichek blaming the field at Reliant Stadium for Welker's injury? Is this the same guy who ordered Foxboro be left uncovered overnight before the 2003 Colts/Pats AFC championship game and refused to answer rather the grounds crew watered down the field the night before with gardenhoses.
Really Bill???

And that's why we have field turf up here now- so haters like you can't whine about the field anymore.

What a rotten way for a player like Welker to go down.
Reminds me of Portis. He went down the same way before the
concussion put him on IR.
It sucks for the Pats, but that's the breaks. (No pun intended.)
