I heard today that there is more underground oil waiting to be pulled up in LA county than in the Saudi countries. Has anyone else heard about this? Is it a fact?

I also read in the news today that polling show the majority of Americans are in favor of drilling up domestic oil rather than continue to rely on imports.

Any thoughts?

hadn't heard about LA County, but the last poll I heard mentioned said that 75% of Americans really like the "Drill Here Drill Now" idea.

Obama may have to flip flop on this if it becomes an even bigger focal point of the campaign. Last time he was asked about drilling here he called it repeating "failed policies of the past". Huh? Providing our own enregy is a failed policy of the past?

He could do it though. He has flip flopped on FISA, the DC gun ban, and now even Bush's faith-based initiatives and the press is still giving him a free pass. They might even like it if he flip flopped on oil.

They both scare me.

This morning I saw McCain being interviewed live. He was being asked how to deal with the economy and how Americans now feel that gas and the economy are the single biggest concerns we're facing and Iraq is far behind with 19%. Whatever that means.

McCain did not answer the question one bit but went on to why he was in Columbia to help stem the flow of drugs to the U.S.

Fried fish. Mmmmm. *looks at watch* Lunch? :)
