Simply the fact that Rush fans have got taste (good and bad) and that Blazing Saddles is one of the greatest comedies ever made.Augie wrote:Hi folks,Slaine mac Roth wrote:In my opinion, there can be no fart scene as funny as the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles. The first time I saw it I, literally, nearly wet myself laughing and, as such, missed a large chunk of the film as I was in the toilet.
Why do so many Rush fans love "Blazing Saddles"? I knew Rush fans in high school who loved that movie. I thought it was a borderline good/great movie, but not outright "great". I only saw it once, in 1987.

I saw another good one in The Commitments the other night. Its quite simple. about 8 or 9 people are crammed into the back of a mobile chip van when the singer farts. Opening the hatch to let the smell out, an elderly approach and ask if they've got any haddock (or something like that) to which the reply is "Sorry, we've only got sole". (The pun being that the film is about a soul band if you haven't seen it.)
