Judging from that comment, so do you!
In June I got the DVD box set of all the episodes of The Critic. It was a WONDERFUL birthday present!

As an SF fan from the UK during the 70s, I grew up with the original Star Trek along with other imports like Land of the Giants and Time Tunnel as well as such homegrown fare as Doctor Who, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and The Clangers.
I was never much of Galatica fan, mainly because Richard Hatch has got to be the least charismatic hero since Keir Dullea in 2001 and the fact I can't abide the guy who played Starbuck.
I did like TNG and, may I be forgiven, Buck Rogers. I also remember a one-off SF/Time Travel drama called The Flipside of Dominic Hyde which was great.
If I was pushed to name the best SF TV, I would have to niminate Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the BBCs excellent 1980s adaptation of The Day of the Triffids.
More recently, I've found my tastes running to odder fare, especially the superb Dead Like Me

No way, by-tor. Riker kicks ass.
I am both a Rushian and a Trekkie.

If it's not too personal of a question, what disease would do that to you? That sounds really awful (not the lack of TV, but being that ill).

Outside of Wesley Crusher, Riker has to be my most hated character on TNG. I guess it's not his fault....when creating the roles for TNG, they decided not to go with one character who did it all like Kirk, so you got Picard as the leader that Kirk was, Worf as the, "I'm going to kick everybody's ass" area of Kirk, and Riker as the ladies man Kirk was....and Riker just comes across as a pansy to me.

I didn't like Riker at all either. Turns out that Frakes is much better as a director than an actor.

I agree. Riker was awesome. Like in the episode when he joined the Klingon Exchange Program. He does kick ass, and he gets all the space babes too.
I'm a big Trekkie, which is why I brought up the analogy in the first place. Thanks to awip for picking up the ball and running with it.

Well, isn't that special. Maybe one spring day, you, Riker, and the Lambs can hold hands and skip thru a daisy field together.
