I'm pretty sure it's in Germany. That's not an uncommon German name.
Either that or her maiden name was Dimtwit...

I heard a story a few years ago about a European (non-English speaking) family named Hitler. They didn't want the connection with Adolf, so they changed their name to "Shitler".
