Rush are NOW cool?
Hi. First night on the forum, but long time lover of the RUSH.
As i'm sure everyone here knows, RUSH have ALWAYS been cool. The fact that they have traditionally been ignored by the "popular" press etc and have never really cared, just makes them all that much cooler.
But because some half-wit journalist finally wakes up to what real talent and musicianship are, they are cool. Puh-lease. I was so blown away by the first RUSH show I ever saw, and this was 25 years ago, that ever since I have refused to see any other performer/band live. Ever. Of course I have subsequently seen RUSH upwards of 80 times.
Quite simply, RUSH ARE THE BEST BAND ON THE PLANET. Have been since 1969 and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Ah yes, Tis true
Thanks everyone for the nice replies and the welcome to the party!
First off schuette, yes, I have NEVER seen any other band live besides RUSH. Now don't get me wrong, I love music in general and the number of albums, CD's, SACD's, DVD audio's, etc I own is obscene, but I have never had a desire to se any other band live. None of them could ever touch RUSH anyway. And I apologize, but I don't know where this "introduce yourself" bit is, or did you simply mean to just write a post about myself? Sorry for the ignorance.
As far as the cost involved for seeing 80 RUSH shows...yeah, it got expensive, but the memories are more than worth it. Shit, If I remember correctly the first show I ever saw, I believe I was in a box right off the floor, was 15 bucks. Oh how times have changed!
