Veterans Day gives us occasion to honor the more than 25 million Soldiers,
Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who have selflessly served our
Nation.

History books are filled with heroic stories of Veterans ... from combating
tyranny in a snowy forest on the German border during the Battle of the Bulge
to fighting terrorism through sandstorms in deserts half a world away. We
remember their sacrifice. Current events are a sobering reminder that those
sacrifices continue.

Yes, thank you to all of those doing the real work. I hope you make it back alive and unscathed, and if you don't, that some good comes from your sacrifice.

My Dad fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Thanks to all the Vetrans for their service.
