I have worked in warehouses for 6 years................both using UPS.

They are famous for "Drop Kicking" packages. They are also hard to claim against. I realized you have shelled out $$$$ for your git, but if it's tweeked due to shipping refuse it and get another one.

Also, have a digital camera ready so if it is you can document the claim.

it plays AMAZINGLY had to adjust the action a bit due to low end string buzz, coupled with a small bridge adjustment and good to go

Huzzah HUZZAH! He likes it! Hey Mikey!!!

Considering how far away it came from it's not surprising you needed a tiny bit of action adustment. It may need to be tweaked a bit more after a few weeks of settling.

But I'm glad you think it plays amazing. I've thought that about Carvins for a long time. :)

You have seven different pickup combinations possible, making for a lot of versatility. More than most guitars out there. And don't you just love the heel-less neck? :-D

Tell, me... do you like those mini-rail humbuckers? I've never heard them before.

The 7 combos is exactly why I left it as stock switches, otherwise you need a bridge on off and to wire the 5 way right and I never know which spot on a 5 way does what and such.. so much simpler.

The heelless neck, just amazingly smooth all the way down. My leads improved easily just by switching to this guitar. (wish my wrist wasn't in such bad health lately though).

Sustain, another thing I am not used to, my GNX3000 came in today with it, its a decent pedal/floor processor, I just have to get the hang of it to really tweak my sound. Not to mention not routing it through my bass amp..

I like the rails, in neck positive I get a pretty clear lead but it isn't shrill, really smooth sounding. The humbuckers aren't dark either so it is good. (the bridge is a m22sd)

And despite all the grievances over the paint jobs I really like how mine came out the burst fades into the paint nicely and it is a very think burst.

My largest shock was how small the guitar was, considerably smaller than my squire strat I think. that and playing on bass bodies for the largest entent of my playing really puts that in an odd perspective, although I thought the same thing first time I saw a LP.

May start tinkering with writing/recording with this pedalboard soon so if I tinker I can make you some sound bites with the rail humbuckers.

Whoa! Excellent posts to come home to see! :-D

Most happy for you, Dweebs! Oh, and nice to see your mug as well as the guitar.

What is the scale on that neck; you say the guitar feels smaller than your Squire Strat. I like smaller guitars myself, being so wee that I can fit in Leon's pitsies! hehe
