Wow...if they're hitting bird seed then there's not much food in the woods.

I hadda HUGE coon on my back deck a few days ago, hitting the bird seed.

Is that a doe (with young) or just stray does?

Schu, I don't like living in places that don't have wildlife. When I was young I would climb out my bedroom windows to play with the critters or bring them home to my mother, pretty much daily, whether it were an insect or spider or lizard or something bigger. I didn't care for living in the city where we were so limited on what critters I could find, although I still searched them out. I love having the wild ones roaming about here. It sure helps with teaching the kids too!

This week we have noticed some birds have returned to the feeders. There is a Flicka again and some Varied Thrush too.
