Sweet.
On VH1 Classic they are showing History of Rock and Roll, and they featured one episode on guitars.
Les Paul was featured with his first big-body prototype, and his baby....(Probably) the oldest LP in existence....
Made in 1947 (or 8 I can't remember), it was immaculate. I could be wrong on the dates, but it was still butt old.

I did a lengthy report on Les Paul in college. I was surprised to learn how many other things he innovated along with guitar design.
