'Tawit tawoo tawit tawoo' Thats genuine owl-speak that is, roughly translated means 'why thankyou' .Big Blue Owl wrote:Ogg, way to wrangle your thread back on topic!
Nice toys, M8.
This lot? Stay on topic? Hah! So what if this the first brand new kit I've ever owned
Seriously, I may be approaching *cough* fourty but Christmas has come early in the Ogg house this year. I only have the kit set up here until monday and then they're packed away until the first jam this coming wednesday. Now THAT I am looking forward to .
I just cant help but grin like a twat when I turn my head and there they are. All I want to do is post just one decent (well lit) pic to show how new and shiny they really are.
I tuned the kit the best I can until I get in the club. I've played in short bursts home here (until I smashed the woman's favourite Buddah figure) but ornaments and xmas cards tend to slide off surfaces with the vibration...
I'm a lot less rusty than I thought I'd be but I keep the rythmic pecker going by practising with the bongos every day anyway. 'Scuse me whilst I crane my neck for another look... .
The double pedal is pissing me off though. I've never had one before and it appears not too difficult to set up but the left pedal is difficult to sync with the right and I have no spring/return to the left pedal either. I'm obviously doing something wrong so until I find the patience I'm using the single pedal.
