Man, that was a VICIOUS hit Danica took to the infield wall at 180mph on
the last lap of Race 1.

The SAFER barrier did its job wonderfully. After passing her initiation into
the Daytona Crash Club, she walked away without a scratch.

They showed the in-car cam replay and you see her cover her face with
her hands just before impact, a well-known practice in open-wheel
racing.

God bless ya Danica. You were right there in the hunt - until Jamie
decided to push the whole row down on you and take you out.

The announcers are saying "well we have Stewart in the lead and running a strong 12th place half a lap back is Danica.." The only way the other drivers are going to get any coverage is to be around her or in the lead..

She sucks! she cant even win in a second rate open wheel series let alone Nascar.. Maybe she should have won some races there before moving up.. Hopefully in a few years the only time I will see her is when I open up my new Penthouse magazine..

Too bad she does not have to race her way in like the working joes do.. Than come Sunday it would be the Daytona 500 not the Danica 500..


You are right about Junior though.. looks like he has a good car.. Looks like he has some competition for the most popular driver this year too!

Junior was in 12th (or worse) at one time too. Danica was 5 car lengths back on the last restart and hanging tight - until "Janie" took her out.

I'm not a Danica fan, but I disagree that she sucks. You don't get a Cup ride for being a bad driver - but the rest I agree with.

Now Soup....Smoke came from open wheel racing too. I'm sure there's more to him recruiting Danica than what you stated.

Smoke is a heck of a great racer with a solid resume to back him up. Had he stayed in open wheel he would have undoubtly won an Indy 500.. and apparently he is a genius at marketing as well..

She has done nothing. Hell she has not even won an ARCA race. The only race she ever won was a non-sanctioned event in Japan and she won that because of fuel mileage, not because she can drive..

The only thing I have seen her do is pick fights with guys who she thinks got in her way.. My guess was everybody in open wheel was glad she moved on..except for the high level marketing guys who were making money off her good looks..

If she wins a race I will retract what I said about her and give her her props, but the only way she will win a race is if some natural disaster wipes out all other 42 cars on pit road and she is the only car left, and than maybe.. because I am sure she will find a way to pile it into the wall all by herself..

and I will retract what I said about Dale Jr.. well sorta.. I still think he got his shot because of Sr.. but he is a pretty good driver and I will be rooting for him on Sunday..
