I can't stand people here camping out in the hammer lane of I-95 with
nobody in front of them. Most of the time they either are fumbling
around with an electronic gadget, or INTENTIONALLY holding people up to
see them get angry. (You know, the ones that drive UNDER the speed
limit in the hammer lane, then speed up when you try to pass
them....and yeah, you'd better believe it...they're out there in YOUR town
too.)
There are some sick freaks out there on the roads. The roads here are
so crowded that I don't ride my motorcycle anymore. I can see myself
stopped at a traffic signal and some moron looking down and pushing
buttons on their phones and gadgets...then comes the rear end collision.
I came close in my car before the holiday. Some woman behind me
SCREECHES her brakes in a skid behind me, and I hold the wheel while
bracing for the impact. There's no impact, so I look in my mirror -
there's a young woman with both hands on the wheel - one holding a cell
phone. She is shaking her head and talking to me, as if I can read lips. I
assume she was saying she was "sorry." Maybe not.
Then I look beyond her, and I can't believe my eyes - there's a TODDLER
IN THE BACK, IN A CAR SEAT.
I immediately got out of my car and made sure I called her STUPID at
least ONCE for doing crap like that with a child in the car. I almost made
her cry, and I could have cared less.
These young people had better WISE UP. It's bad enough that they're
living in a virtual world with their gadgets and have no clue of what REAL
life is about, but to put kids at risk for THEIR STUPID BEHAVIOR is
just insane.
It's disturbing as hell.

Until they give the cops the little bit of power to check on the TIMES that the last few texts were sent the law to prevent texting and driving has as much teeth as a street fighter after he's been curbstomped.CygnusX1 wrote:These young people had better WISE UP. It's bad enough that they're

They problem I see with most Generation Y and younger kids is the parents don't care, and this is being passed onto them. No regard for them, no regard for anyone around them etc. and it shows in a case like this. Nothing is that important to have to text and drive.
"It's not a license to drive, it's a license to KILL" - something my dad said when I did something wreckless and foolish when I was younger (and it opened my eyes as to what a car really is, a weapon)Raiden wrote:Each vehicle is a potential screaming metal death trap and must be operated with care and maybe some common sense (remember that?).
