I have decided to take my good friend BBO's lead and quit smoking as well. I quit back in 99 and for some stupid reason picked them back up in 2007. I have been 17 hours without a smoke and it actually feels pretty good. I got back to the gym in January and my workouts have been suffering and I have gotten to the point where I hate the smokes more than I like them. I think that is where you need to be before you can actually quit. I did it before and managed to leave them alone for 8 years, so I should be able to do it again. we will see..
Happy 2015!

You are exactly on the money there, Soups. We're all behind ya, I'm sure. Personally, I'm very happy for you, man.Soup4Rush wrote: I have gotten to the point where I hate the smokes more than I like them. I think that is where you need to be before you can actually quit.
(((((((((((((((all'a you)))))))))))))))
congrats on givin' em up Soup. I'm almost there. Not quite yet.Soup4Rush wrote:I dont know about there Schuey, but here they are about $5.40 a pack, and at a pack a day, that is just crazy.. over a month, its a car payment. or better yet, a Harley payment.
No sense in doing it until I'm ready and set a date.
Last time I quit, there was a title fight on and I ran outta smokes.
I was debating whether to miss three rounds going to the store or just go
without....I went without.
I also used G. Gordon Liddy's oft-quoted saying about human nature:
"Any PERSON can do without ONE THING for ONE DAY."
Repeat daily.
Don't start none...won't be none.
