Soup4Rush wrote:Not to be a dick Sigs cuz ya know I love ya bro BUT.. maybe its not the equipment. Maybe Gordon and Johnson just are really that good and that JR Nation just thinks Jr is all that because of who his daddy was.. Personally I like Jr.. he races hard and he is one of the good guys in Nascar. Same thing with Kyle Petty.. great guy but very mediorce on the track.. and both their fathers are legends.. just a thought..
No hard feelings Bro. I get that ^^^ all the time, and it's not a good time
to be a Junior fan. You gotta be thick-skinned these days, for sure.

Notable quote from Shrub though: "Give Junior a good car and he can drive."

He proved that at Martinsville. Here's the kicker:

It was posted by people listening to 88 team radio on Sunday that Junior
made his own pit calls the first few stops of the race! That's silly-cool.

Besides, MacGoo's a dipsh*t. He's so fired after this year. He's probably
already packing.

If you watched the race, the results of that were obvious. He TOOK the
lead - he didn't stay out on a caution and get it; he didn't get a lucky dog
or wave-around...he flat out TOOK IT.

That was refreshing.

And the driveshaft cover debacle on the 48...what a show. Nascar doesn't
confiscate parts for nothing. Yeah, we know - it was cracked. So why
did they confiscate it, and then tell him no harm/no foul? Imagine...
Jimmie losing the championship on a points penalty...unthinkable in his
situation! Na$car gave him the pass.

Bowyer got burned 150 points for about 1/16th of a inch!

Getting back to Junior - lets' face it - there's always been a
bottom-dwelling car/team at HMS. It's just Junior's turn over the barrel.

Welcome to HMS in 2012, Kasey. Has Rick got a deal for YOU. :P

I dont buy the R and D theory.. Rick Hendrick is in the racing business. Even if Junior was not in the best equipment Hendrick has to offer, (which I don't buy) he still is in better equipment than 85% of the raceteams out there.

Do you honestly think Rick Hendrick wakes up on Sunday morning and says "Today I am going to let Jr win"

and has far as the best equipment going to Gordon and Johnson.. Gordon has had his problems this year too.. Gordon has not won a race this year and yet he got in to the Chase.. because he is a great driver and he can take a crappy day and at least salvage it into an OK day..

I just dont think Jr has the talent Johnson and Gordon do.. His daddy sure did, in fact more... He is a good driver but that's it..

another thing and to use your quote from Kyle

"Notable quote from Shrub though: "Give Junior a good car and he can drive."

That may be the difference.. Gordon and Johnson can take a bad car and still drive..
Happy 2015!

here is another thought Sigs...

How good for Nascar would it be for Jr to win a championship? It would send Nascar's ratings through the roof.. Jimmie Johnson winning a 5th championship in a row is going to kill Nascar's ratings. I don't think Nascar wants Jimmie winning another one. I dont think Nascar is fixing anything for Jimmie to win another championship.. Johnson is just that good.. He just gets real hot when it comes to the playoffs..

No question that he has some of the best stuff, but the best equipment in
existence won't help when you're slow/wreckin' loose off of the truck
and your CC can't fix it. He can only drive what they put under him.
Soup4Rush wrote:Do you honestly think Rick Hendrick wakes up on Sunday morning and says "Today I am going to let Jr win"
No, but when you intentionally send a proven CC [Read: Darian Grubb] to
SHR and give Junior Lance MaGoo....well...you see what I mean.
Soup4Rush wrote:and has far as the best equipment going to Gordon and Johnson.. Gordon has had his problems this year too.. Gordon has not won a race this year and yet he got in to the Chase.. because he is a great driver and he can take a crappy day and at least salvage it into an OK day..
you forget that in most cases, Jeff (and Jimmie) are fast off of the truck
most every weekend. All it takes is some adjustments and they're right
back in the hunt. Jeff just can't close the deal, and even though he's
done (as far as the championship this year goes), I'm really hoping he
WINS. PERIOD. He's DUE....big time. Junior has a CC that can't decide
to take 2 or 4 tires on a CAUTION...much less a green flag pit stop.
Soup4Rush wrote:I just dont think Jr has the talent Johnson and Gordon do.. His daddy sure did, in fact more... He is a good driver but that's it..
I have much more respect for Gordon as a driver. Jeff didn't fall into a
golden opportunity. He took his lumps and trial-by-fire with Ray
Evernham and they did it their way - and WITHOUT CHEATING. I have
MUCH respect for that. Jimmie on the other hand, got a golden
parachute into the 48 by way of Jeff Gordon. Everything was there for
him. If you don't believe that Jimmie was GIVEN success, take a look at
his Nationwide Series record. AWFUL. Jeff probably had to bribe Rick H.
to bring Jimmie up to Cup.

He was f-ing atrocious in the Nationwide series.

CK and his Rule-Bendin' 48 Chevy are the team to beat....like it or not.

So this didn't count????
YYZ30 wrote:NA$CAR is a fuckin disgrace now - how does a car that passes pre-race inspection not pass post race? I call bullshit - who they wanted to win didn't win and therefore they took the win from Bowyer.

And Denny Hamlin? Someone needs to send Jimmy Spencer after him - Jimmy needs to shut Denny's fuckin yap for him.

Officially signing off of this thread - it's been real.

Fuck A$$CAR.

I thought I was watching a WWE pay-per-view. What a joke.

At least a Toyota didn't win it. I hope you're happy with #5, Mr. H.

Thanks for stinking up Na$car.

All we would have needed was VKM to come out and tell them to ring the bell right before the speeding penalty...then Harvick could have claimed screwjob...

Under the previous point system, Harvick would have PWNED
Jimmie Johnson by almost 300 points. Just a thought.

OK Sigs.. no more BS excuses from JR nation.. He is in the same shop with Jimmie Johnson now and has Steve Letarte as his new crew chief. He needs to get it done or go down in history has the most overrated driver Nascar has ever seen.

I'm all over it Bro!

No excuses on this end. In fact, my suspicions were confirmed.

Letarte is quoted on Sirius as saying "We are going to put OUR shop's car
under Junior and adjust it from there."

h/t to

www.dalejrpitstop.com/pb/index-pitboard.html

How's that for proof that Dale Junior NEVER had the "same
equipment" as Jimmie and Jeff.

Damn it feels good to be RIGHT all along.

While I'm on a tear, talk about overrated....Jimmie Johnson would be
mid-pack without Chad and that team. Just like Junior is now.

Don't believe me? Look at Jimmie's career record BEFORE CUP.
