Wait and see then. the only advantage Schumacher has is his Germanic methodology. Bizarrely, this works for him in Italian Ferrari. Of course, none of his engineers, or managers are of the 'latin temperament'. If Alonso can overcome his 'latin' handicap then who knows. For instance, come race weekend his times steadily improve all weekend. Contrast Schumacher, whose frst lap is often his best. This rather points to the relative maturities of the respective teams.

For anyone else reading this, it's not meant to be racist, but we all have National characteristics. Ask Schuette...

Anyway Schu', how's it goin'? Me and the better half are away to Spain on Thursday. We've got two weeks to do 1,400 miles. In a hired car with a tent. Can't wait! Especially after recent events.

Last year, Schumacher made a mistake and beached his car in a gravel-trap.
Today, Alonso did the same thing.


Schumacher got pushed back on to the track to continue the race.
Alonso did not; the marshalls refused.

say what you want Schumacher drove a fantastic race....proves to certain ppl that he still can race...

Do you accept now that there's one rule and another for the others? If not, please explain why Schumacher got pushed back on to the track last year, while Alonso, in an identical situation, did not.

I know that happened and there is nothing I can say but I believe that if it happened again he wouldn't have gotten a shove....not that you'll believe that

and it still doesn't take away the amazing race that Schuey had

You're right though that I don't like him. It's the hubris. Look at what happened after qualifying: the only person, at that time, who knew for sure why he spun was Schumacher himself. But such is his arrogant pride that he not only refused to admit it to the media, he also had the team go over the car with a fine-toothed comb - including replacing the engine(!) - to try to find another cause. And having put them through all that unnecessary work, he didn't repay their efforts by driving as well as he's capable of: he punted Klien off the road, risking similar damage to his own car; he spun (again); and after his puncture (which was not necessarily his own fault, but could well have been caused by driving off the road) forced him into an unscheduled stop, he didn't think to change his strategy so as not to need to pit again (although it's true that no-one else in the team seemed to think of that either).



Strange, isn't it, that the only interesting races this year have been the ones Schumacher didn't win. (And no, I'm not just saying that because I dislike him - there were a number of good races last year including several that he did win.)

it should be good but I'm saddened by the fact that they'll be no British GP next year...
