Thanks to all you up there! ^^^ :-)

I think the following list pretty well says it all (as far as growing up goes):

25 Reasons Why YOU OWE YOUR PARENTS:

1. My Parents taught me: TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE.
"If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

2. My Parents taught me: RELIGION.
"You better PRAY that will come out of the carpet."

3. My Parents taught me: TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next
week!"

4. My Parents taught me: LOGIC.
"Because I said so - that's why."

5. My Parents taught me: MORE LOGIC.
"If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the
store with me."

6. My Parents taught me: FORESIGHT.
"Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an
accident."

7. My Parents taught me: IRONY.
"Keep crying, and I'll give you something to cry about."

8. My Parents taught me: THE PROPERTIES OF OSMOSIS.
"Shut your mouth and eat your supper."

9. My Parents taught me: CONTORTIONISM.
"Will you just look at that dirt ring on the back of your neck!"

10. My Parents taught me: STAMINA.
"You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."

11. My Parents taught me: WEATHER.
"Your room looks like a cyclone hit it."

12. My Parents taught me: HYPOCRISY.
"If I told you once, I've told you a million times...Don't exaggerate!"

13. My Parents taught me: THE CIRCLE OF LIFE.
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

14. My Parents taught me: BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION.
"Stop acting like your father!"

15. My Parents taught me: ENVY.
"There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have
wonderful parents like you do."

16. My Parents taught me: ANTICIPATION.
"Just wait until we get home."

17. My Parents taught me: RECEIVING.
"You are going to get it when you get home!"

18. My Parents taught me: MEDICAL SCIENCE.
"If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."

19. My Parents taught me: ESP.
"Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you are cold?"

20. My Parents taught me: HUMOR.
"When that lawnmower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

21. My Parents taught me: BECOMING AN ADULT.
"If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

22. My Parents taught me: GENETICS.
"I swear, you're just like your father."

23. My Parents taught me: ROOTS.
"Shut that door behind you! Were you born in a barn?"

24. My Parents taught me: WISDOM.
"When you get to be my age, you'll understand."

25. (And my favorite:) MY PARENTS TAUGHT ME: JUSTICE.

"One day YOU'LL have kids, and I hope they turn out JUST LIKE YOU."

I'm thinking/pondering/wondering if I've, unintentionally, offended my friends. See, I've quit smoking, and to those who haven't done that, I don't expect you to understand. But to try to explain - it is a very raw time and I'm doing all I can to not be abrasive and catty, but I am not always successful. This is a seriously difficult challenge and, for the most part, I'm getting through it. That said, I can't help but notice the dialogue between some awesome peeps and myself has changed, and not for the better. I know it is me, and I ask for patience and forgiveness.

So, as a side note, I've been having unfun with an experiment. I bring up the board in my browser to see 2 or 3 people logged in and having fun. I log in and post a thing or two, or sometimes just sit tight for about 3 minutes and voila! Just my username down there. Then I log out and within 5 minutes, 2 or 3 usernames down there. I log in and BAM! Gone. Log out, KLONK! Party. Log in, PLOINK! Tumbleweeds. Out - cacophony. In - crickets.

Paranoid? Not this time. Guilty of being an irritation? You betcha.
Sorry.
I'll try harder to avoid being a prick. Image

Damn - you too? :?

Hey, don't apologize for nuthin' Bro. We're all adults here, and I, for one,
know that shit happens. I was a quitter too, and yeah, I was a mean
bastid, but it doesn't mean you are.

Speakin' of which, howz that goin'? Are you taking the B complex like I
told ya?

And even though we have differences of political opinion, it doesn't make
you (or I) or anyone else a pariah. People seem to forget that this great
nation was founded by people that bickered on a daily basis!

It's called DEMOCRACY. Don't apologize for being a patriot, Bro.

I mean, look at Hannity and Colmes! They proved democracy works!

Well, I take that back....Colmes wound up being involountarily
waterboarded. :P LOL

okay okay... I kid.

I'm getting the point that both parties have serious issues that have to be
resolved before we can get back to prosperity, and it's working on us ALL.

I need to tighten up as well, and quit posting political dirt.

It's not like we don't have enough problems in our lives already, and
truthfully, I have rules I have to follow as far as political activism is
concerned. I need to back off a few clicks.

Happy Friday Owlie. One day at a time, Brother.

Keep doing what you do best, and that is being a Bytorian - that also
happens to be a patriot - that also loves his Rush AND his country, and
keeps us in stitches on a regular basis.

**man-hugs ya**

@BBO No worries, man, none at all. I'm in and out on my phone off and on through the day depending on my schedule and when I'm working or between clients or whatever. Sometimes I am here then leave and am back soon to "finish up" other times I'm gone longer or here for just a few minutes. It's nothing to do with you. I see people come and go when I am on for any length of time, too.

((((BBO)))) And don't worry that I'm mad at ya. I'm not. Honest injun. :-) I AM happy you are quiting, though! \m/\m/

You know, I find it odd when some kid is given a meal he doesn't like and the parents go, "Think of the children around the world who don't have anything to eat".

"Can I send it to them?"
