Midwest floods may send gas up 15%
Soaring corn prices could increase the price of ethanol, driving up demand for oil and sending gas prices even higher. Some think it's time for Congress to act.

This is a headline from CNN money.. Is it just me or are they really reaching for an excuse to raise gas prices. We have exactly 2 ethanol pumps in our city and from what I understand, if you run ethanol in your vehicle, you cannot switch back to regular gas. How many people actually use Ethanol to begin with?

This sounds like another excuse to raise gas prices. as if they need one.

I saw it too, and I really feel bad for everyone...They also mentioned no
less than 27 levees and dams that may overflow there....

Honda says they are filling orders for hydrogen fuel cell cars, but the
LEASE alone will be around $600 a month, and I haven't seen many
Hydrogen filling stations around my place...so much for that...

See this? The desert plant (Jatropha) that scientists say produces
four times the fuel of corn?

"A plant with a poisonous nut that might hold the key to the nation's
energy troubles. .The nuts are more than 30 percent oil, which burns
with a clear flame, producing a fraction of the emissions of traditional
diesel. As a bonus, the oil can be used in simple diesel engines without
refining, just by mixing it with fuel. . .bushes are easy to grow, start
producing nuts quickly, and are resistant to drought..."

*Note to self* Gather poisonous nuts, place in zip-lock, go to park tonight and offer some to as many illegal aliens as possible.
*Note to self - additional* - Nah, better not. :-D

I remember a few months back, staying home from work one morning in order to take the car to the garage for repair (Hey, I'm doing that again this Thursday!)... I came home from the garage on foot and found a couple of Mexican men sitting on the edge of my front yard eating walnuts from my tree. Startled me at first but was then glad that the nuts were going to good use since I don't eat 'em.

Good thing for those guys they hadn't stumbled upon BBO's poison-nuts!
