the Tubes - Live tracks from The Music Factory (1975)

"If you never saw the Tubes live, you really missed out. They were the
most outrageous live act around at the time. But what else would you
expect with songs titled "Mondo Bondage" or "White Punks on Dope" and
characters with names like "Quay Lude"? "Quay" wore 18" platforms, a
silver prop guitar in the shape of a "Q", and glasses that flash out
Q..U..A..Y.. Their shows were more fun than legally allowed."

Sorry to insert a story here, but...

My kids and I went to the X-Files movie and then out to eat tonight. We get in the car to come home and my oldest pulls out her iPod and says, "MUSIC!" So, I hand her the thing to plug it into the stereo.

What should start playing through the stereo but Can't Smile Without You by Barry Mannilow! I turn and look at her...
"Where'd you get this?"
"From iTunes..."
"You PAID for it?"
"Uh-huh"
So, what could I do? I shrugged and started singing along, to my younger daughter next to me...
"You see I feel sad when you're sad! I feel glad when you're glad!"

It seems that the song is used in a very funny scene in the Hellboy movie and she got such a kick out of it that she donwloaded the song!

The big BM is a classic from the 70's. Many are his tunes I wouldn't admit to having listened to back in the day! LOL

I have many times. But it had been a while. It gets to me sometimes.
