Great AUDIENCE recording. This Remaster fixes few flaws in the original Prism release. I recall a discussion while back where Mike Bahr (Prism) used the Intro/TSoR (first portion) from the GUP Video. You can hear the transition from the SBD source > AUD recording. According to the taper, this show was taped using AKG 460b > Sony WM-D5M. The recording is rich with deep bass and good midrange punch. I think the highs are just a bit too harsh (most likely from the original Prism's EQ). This is by far the BEST audience tape from the GUP tour, closely followed by Reno and Atlanta.

This is a slightly more expanded soundboard of the show made famous by "Mystic Dreams". I like the sound on this version a bit better than "Mystic Dreams", a little less stale sounding. Taken from a very low generation tape, thus there is virtually no tape hiss. "Red Sector A" still has the same minor cuts as was on Mystic Dreams. "YYZ / Drum Solo" cuts out about a minute too premature, but not severely distracting. All in all a nice performance and everything is very clear, though Alex is low in the overall mix. Because the mix is more centric on Geddy and Neil, you can hear some nice but extremely subtle differences in the keyboard lines during some of the songs.

A true soundboard from the Presto tour, notably better than the Mountainview mono video source. Still, like almost all the Presto shows, the mix isn't as good as on other tours. There is only one flaw with the source used, the first bit of "Force Ten" was missing. Otherwise it is the complete show devoid of another edits or deletions. It is nice to hear the warm sounding bass and the drums just on the good side of being almost brutal. This is one of those Neil mixes, so if you like drums, you like the low end bass found on this show. Thanks again to Rubicon for helping to procure this particular source. While still not perfect, I can live with a few missing seconds from "Force Ten".

The single best sounding Rush bootleg. Too bad the show wasn?t as good as the recording! Rush are obviously going through the motions. This was to be Les Claypool?s (of Primus) tape, but some sneaky dude stole it and took off with it at the end of the show. Good for us, but I feel sort of sorry for Les.

Someone else has finally pressed a copy of the Oakland 1992 soundboard. However, unlike most copies, this sounds better than the first "Rush 'N' Roulette '92" CD. The sound is clearer, the vocals more up-front. This is either a closer-to-master copy, or one that has been remastered. It is NOT a copy of the RNR92 cd, as the cds break in different places. This has all the same tracks, and is essentially the same recording as RNR92. The medley, however, is a single track and not indexed individually as RNR92 is. The booklet is also superior, containing several live concert shots (mostly from "Hold Your Fire") and a copy of the Rush Tour Dates Listing (found elsewhere on this web site) "Roll The Bones" section. It was obviously put together by someone who "cared", none of the tracks is mislabeled (and yes, they actually put "The Spirit Of Radio" INSTEAD of "Spirit of the Radio"!!). If you thought RNR92 sounded good, wait till you hear this one! A definite MUST buy (you might want to get it even if you already have RNR92!). If you have a choice between the two cd's, my vote would have to be with Mirrors.

The second Rush show offered exclusively on the alt.music.rush newsgroup. This is a great show from one of the band?s favorite venues. The boys do sound a bit tired here, and at times seem to be going through the motions. This is the best "Counterparts" show out there -- "Animated" is a bit too trebly and cut up. This is apparently the audio from a professionally shot video, so the sound is soundboard caliber. All the instruments sound great, as do Geddy?s vocals. A must for any collection.

This is a great soundboard recording from the T4E tour. Neil is definitely captured well on this mix. Some may find the highs a little too bright or the low end not strong enough. I really can't tell, sounds great on my stereo and I have a couple of 12" subs powered by a 500w amp. Seems to have enough bass to bring down my house if I'm not too careful. If you are a Rush fan, you will do yourself a favor and get this show. I do agree that this was a great find.

This is a nice recording by Firmdragon from GM Place. I recall that night quite distinctively, for it was the only night that rains fell during *my* Rush tour.

The raw source had many level problems which I did my best to even out. There are some shifts in the channel volumes throughout the show. It sounds as if the taper's position changed a bit. Perhaps he was attempting to get away from a loud and madclapping crowd!

Slight high end and low end EQ were added for some crispness and low bass presence, respectively. Loud handclaps were removed or reduced in many instances. Otherwise, the recording faithfully captures the sound of the show.

Whoa! What kind of lottery did my ears just win? This recording is so crisp, so clear and in your face, it give me chills up & down my spine everytime I listen to it. IMHO, this is the best audience DAT from R30 as of this date 2004-11-18. It's definitely the crown jewel of The Euro leg of the tour, possibly the best of the entire R30 tour! Thanks to the tapers & producers for this beauty, you made history with this one!

What a great sounding bootleg, the sound is warm with all the instruments up front, what a great taping job! This is a bootleg for the casual to the completist of Rush collectors, a great sounding, well played show. The best of the lot for the what is an overall great series known as UK Unlimited. The series came out soon after the shows, giving us a great sounding taste on what the UK shows sounded soon after, once again thanks for the taper.

I was at Wembley,Glasgow and Manchester. Manchester was by far the best sounding and it shows on this recording. It actually sounds much better than the official rush releases,great balance with all the instruments coming thru very clearly indeed. I have the complete UK Unlimited series and this is THE one to get. An absolute must have for any fan,and the best set list ever.

There are a number of ways to start collecting boots:

1) PM anyone who you see stating they have boots and ask if they would be willing to let you have a copy. In this situation, the majority of traders require that you provide the blank CDs 9usually on a 2 for 1 basis) and pay for postage. If this is the case, you need to see what brand of discs they find acceptable as some can be very picky with regard to this. (Personally, I just ask for the blank discs and postage therefore it doesn't matter what you send).

2) There is also a dedicated Rush boot downloading site called The Rush Trading Hub. Personally, I've not bothered with this as, while it may be a great source for bootlegs, the list of rules and regulations is so long that I don't have half-a-dozens lifetimes to read them. In addition, there seems to be a strong core of elitism among some of them that I find a little nauseating.

3) If you have got access to broadband and a burner, some of the bit torrent sites are a good place to look. There is generally a good mixture of shows to choose from and the atmosphere is a little more laid back than on the hub (except when some of the hubbers take exception at some Rush shows being offered there.) My usual haunts of this kind are:

Jam To This (although this site tends to lean more to Van Halen)

4) Try some of the people on the Rushboots site - they got a help page set up.
