Oh yeah, I definitely had the time of my life! I stayed in Eilenburg, Germany with a kid named Danny for the first two weeks, then stayed at a hostel in Salzburg, Austria for two days, then stayed with a kid named Hannes in Nurnberg, Germany for about three days, and finally a hotel in Paris. It was well worth the money for three whole weeks in Europe !

Well in all seriousness, I usually don't wear socks with sandals, but I was just getting over a bad case of athlete's foot before that trip, and, you know what? I looked like an idiot, but between that and applying athlete's foot medicine, I haven't had a problem since !
My wife ripped me once for the very same thing. I never knew socks with sandals was unfashionable. not wearing socks with shoes is uncomfortable and it makes your feet smell. I don't wear sandals anymore because of it.

I've only been to Holland... Valkenburg when I was 12 ( I went with the school) and Amsterdam when I was 36
I loved it....each time for totally different reasons
