But they could have him killed and make it look like an accident...

Or maybe Al can get a Leweinski,*wink wink*, and global warming can cover up the scandal.

Hey, Lewinski's lucky to be alive! You know how American presidents are...

Just ask Jim McDougal, or Vince Foster, or Ron Brown...

Hmmm... this is interesting:
GORE NAME DROPPED FROM 'WARMING' MOVIE POSTER, CREDITS
Wed Jun 07 2006 10:28:38 ET

Former Vice President Al Gore's name is nowhere to be found on PARAMOUNT's poster campaign for the new 'global warming' movie 'AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH.'

Gore's name is not featured on the dramatic poster promoting the movie -- a poster which welcomes moviegoers at the nation's theaters.

"It's not a political movie," a top source at PARAMOUNT explained, offering no other explanation on why Gore's name does not appear, even in the film's credits on the poster.

A rival studio executive claims marketing research showed little audience interest in a movie starring Al Gore.

The film has made $2,070,413 so far at the boxoffice in limited release.

So it stars him, but he isn't on the poster advertising it because it is not a political movie? :?

I'm gonna step back and say the graphics are KOO! :-D

As far as the movie and what it means...well I leave it open as I have on everything else here.

:)

If and when I see it I'm sure I will take EVERYTHING I've learned from this site with me after I see it. I'm good that way and I appreciate everyone's input. :) How can I not? How can anyone not listen to others on something as HUGE as our own planet's future?

Must take ALL in consideration, no?

I usually tag Hollywood as non-sincere (those who funded this) but will do my best.

The idea of sitting in a cinema for two hours while Al Gore gives a slideshow on global warming doesn't appeal. I'll rent the DVD.

I wonder if the film notes the Medieval Optimum, The Little Ice Age, the role of water vapour in the greenhouse effect, the percentage of CO2 created by natural vs. anthropogenic sources and the other complex factors of climate change.

If the North Atlantic conveyor fails, Europe won't have to worry about warming. Europe will have the climate of Canada. It is difficult to predict how a generalized cooling in Europe would interact with an overall warming trend.
Nowhere Toronto, nowhere to hide

IMHO, I'd rather to listen to Rosanne sing the entire first side of 2112-- than listen to ANYTHING Al gore has to say about ANYTHING...

why do I keep hearing the "Twilight Zone" theme song? (do DOO do do/do DOO do do) hahaha

He's a couple-slices-short-of-a-loaf you know...

thankyouthankyouthankyou! :headbang: you guys rainy too?

everyone's watching the tropical storm in the Gulf (Alberto)...it's supposed to go up the east coast (offshore) after it crosses FL...not much wind right now....about 40mph or so...and they don't expect it to intensify.. WOOHOO! that's ALWAYS a good thing...

we're in the "cone of probability" for now...

we'll wait and see, eh? :-D

It rained this weekend which was good.

I saw Alberto on the news this morning. It said FL needed the rain badly but it looked as if the storm won't intensify (signalling...as only the news can do...that perhaps this year's hurricane forecast was incorrect). I hope so!!! :)
