but why should I pray to God for them.....I dont believe in God....I have my own way of remembering them and sorry to say God is not my wayCygnusX1 wrote:that's okay schu, doesn't bother me in the least, but doesn't it feel humbling to know that scads of your(and our) countrymen fell--so you could keep the freedom to CHOOSE?

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.Devil's Advocate wrote:I wonder if those soldiers are familiar with Matthew 6:5-6....

Not sure what your point is...
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

nothing to do with praying now schu....we're talking about the personal FREEDOM to do it or not...
I'm okay with agnostics, atheists or what have you...
Personally, I have faith--but I'm not a "Bible-thumper"
I go to church(when I feel like it...and not as often as I should)...but that's a personal evaluation, and no one has to like it....
it's the FREEDOM TO DO SO...or NOT![:-D](./images/smilies/003.gif)

D'oh!!! *feels stupid, but it's not the first time*Devil's Advocate wrote:Elfie: try chapter SIX.

5 ? And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Ah, yes, there's a point there.
So, I guess I have to ask, are you just making a joke or do you not know to who and what Jesus was referring when he mentioned the hypocrites?
