Okay, here?s the deal?
I?ve been an arrogant and brash poster in here in the past. Then, when the event described in the first post of this thread took place, I decided it was a good opportunity to quietly slip out the back door with no drama and let you people have fun without me getting in the way.
Since then a number of you have written and asked when I was coming back. The sentiment has touched me. But two things have kept me from doing so.
The first is important to me. Namely, I promised ER I wouldn?t be here. Many of you know the story. I?ve offended pretty much everyone here at one time or another, but in his case, I really hurt his feelings. I offered several private apologies, but I?d just done too much damage. So, I finally wrote and basically said, ?You were there first. If you want to go back and have fun, I won?t be there to mess it up for you?. He never answered, but eventually did start posting again from what I hear.
Recently a MOD here wrote me and asked if I?d come back. I told the MOD the story, who answered by telling me that ER hadn?t posted in ages. I was still reluctant so the MOD wrote to ER and asked him about it. No reply came. So, that?s thing #1. If ER wants to start posting again, I will be gone in a heartbeat with absolutely no hard feelings whatsoever. I do not want to be a promise-breaker.
The second thing was touched upon two paragraphs ago. I love you guys. But in spite of that I?ve gotten on my high-horse and become offensive on a number of occasions. If you know me in person, you know what a reserved and soft-spoken person I am most of the time. I need to not become an obnoxious creep in here. A commitment has been made between me, myself, and I to try my best not to post that way. If I do, Dawn, you had darn well better get the duct tape and scalp me. But, while I remain as opinionated as ever, I?m going to try really hard not to become such a jerk in here again.

second of all welcome back... and even if ER comes back and I wish he would, you need to stay too. We can all agree to disagree right DA!! We all agree on Rush and that is enough anyway. If we all had the same opinion it would be pretty dull around here. Glad to see your name back on the board!!!

Bollox to all the history mate. Like Schu' you have never offended me, in fact it's the total opposite. You were a massive help to me two summers back and that will NEVER be forgotten.
Do NOT tone down your posting, you were one of the reasons I love this site so much. An active mind is a healthy mind and threads that promote this ethic are more than welcome imho...and let's face it it's only someone's opinions after all.
