Germany has learned to laugh at the Nazis. This makes me happy. The rise and fall of the Third Reich was one of the most shameful and catastrophic events in human history. That much guilt and self-loathing takes a long time to work its way out, but even a German born in 1945 is 60 now.

I think it's time to get over it, and ridicule is an effective way.

I would like to see the Germans get over their guilt and move on. I am happy to say that the Germans closest to me don't carry the guilt for what their ex-nation did.
