the guy is a complete tool!...see when I watch the one he does when he brings a fly 'back to life'...I wish I was in the crowd as I would be telling everyone that if you put a fly in a fridge/freezer it goes into a coma...when you heat it up it wakes up...that would be after I was calling the crowd idiots for believing that the fly was dead to begin with ;)

I was watching the whole goldfish bowl thing on Sky News earlier. I voted the man an idiot but what endurance the madman must have. Whatever you think... the fact that you ARE thinking kinds proves a point.

ps: on top of the submersion feat he attempted to beat the record for holding his breath underwater, apparently the record is over eight minutes...who on earth could manage that?!

I always thought 4 and a half was about tops.

And after like 10 minutes, don't that kill brain cells like bunny sex?

All the news reports describe him as an illusionist.

So why does everyone assume he's doing these stunts for real?

I think he's already made his mark in the magic/illusion forum....Although the last stunt was foolish, he STILL set a record, so a goal was attained...

I would much rather see him doing the street shows...He used to freak people out...Like the girl did (when he took out her teeth, and then blew them back in her mouth...)

I think 4 minutes without oxygen starts to kill brain cells, but that's how these people do it. Before going under water, they spend like 30 minutes breating pure oxygen (the air we breath is only around 21% I think) to saturate their body.
Don't tell me about rock and roll I'm out there in the clubs and on the streets and I'm living it! I am rock and roll!

the time period is extended if submerged, or concious...in respiratory arrest, you normally have about 3 minutes before the onset of brain damage...

I heard all kinds of reports about how he really didn't do it (his skin would have left his body, his eyeballs out, etc. in the body trying to normalize water pressure, nevermind JUST his hands and feet being pruined--funny, THOSE were the only parts covered) by illusionists AND medical experts. Penn and Chris Angel debunked each part of the stunt.

ALSO how he wasn't holding his breath at ALL and it was a planned "failure" for drama. I gotta go find those details but even the "not getting out of the shackles was bogus." Learning to get out of shackles apparently is from PRE Magic 101.
