Going to California

Not just a Led Zep song, it is what I am going to be doing soon and very soon. Two of the kiddos are going to be playing and recording at Disneyland and playing at Magic Mountain in their homeschool band.

Since those places are near the area I grew up in, I decided that we would drive down on our own, stay with the band while they are there, then hang out some more after the band leaves and play about a bit.

I want to take the kids to see where my cabin was, camp where my mom used to take me camping, meet people I grew up knowing, visit the store Randy Rhoads' mom owns, visit Randy's grave, and spend time with Pan and her family too. I hope to make them try eating Yucca flowers and Prickly Pear. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We plan to leave home at 0800 on 29 March and return on 13 or 14 April just in time for a softball jamboree for the youngest.

I hope to find a computer a few times so I can check my mail. If I can, I may stop in to see if By-Tor has finally come to his senses and banned most of us. *wink*

He was born and raised there. His mom still lives in the valley. Not sure about his siblings though.
