Gimme Formula 1 any day. The steering wheels turn both ways!
f1 is where they go if they wash out of Nascar... Go Jeff Gordon, one kid is a Jr fan another Stewart and another Harvick my 6 year old like Jeff too.. lots of trashtalking in the Soups Household
I know whatcha mean Soup...the wife's a RABID Stewart fan...It was cool seeing him and Jr. racing each other paint-to-paint in the shootout...We were BOTH screaming at each other and the TV....LOL
And awip....don't be surprized if NASCAR shows up there in the near future once the track is done.....you know the size of the track?
Anything (a mile or over) is called "Superspeedway"...the bigge rthe better, but we have lots of short tracks here, and those races are GUARANTEED to be fender-bangin' slobberknockers...
cool awip....Inversely, if the track is shorter than a mile, it's called a "short track".... Our home track, Richmond International Raceway (RIR) is a 3/4 mile long "D"-shaped track...It's "The-short-track-that-thinks-it's-a-superspeedway"
You should see the INDY/F1 *This is YOU Soup!* cars whip around it...you'd never think they could race a short track, but man...it's silly...I dunno how they keep the wheels on those things...Awesome
And no Soup, they DON'T go to F1 when they leave NASCAR...they go to the booth like Benny Parsons and Darrell Waltrip....hahaha
I was just kidding, I like open wheel racing. I watch F1 everyonce in a while when it is on Speed channel. That is pretty cool you living so close to RIR siggy.. I bet that is a great place to see a race. My brother just scored us tickets for the August race at Michigan. On Sundays I usually watch the first 50 laps or so of a race, fall asleep than wake up in time for the last 25. Schumacher Rules!!!
I gotcha Soup....It's OKAY living close by, except you can't move around on race weekend...Daytona's like that right now...Speed Week is in full tilt, with the Twin 125's tomorrow....it's gonna be SWEET...
I want to go to Talladega at least once before I check out....Michigan would be cool except....it's a flat track, and I hate flat tracks...high-banked tracks RULE....Check out Bristol..it's a half-mile oval with high banking....the drivers hit it the turns at 130+mph...unheard of!
