Basically I have to work 65/70 hours a week until xmas eve. I will be sorting/delivering/collecting/driving from 4 30am-6/7pm so please understand my infrequent posting.
Thankyou.
First of the xmas weeks report :-D .

The worse case scenario, the sheer horror of it all...due to staff shortages I have had to spend the working week WALKING, yes walking to deliver mail. Oh how I miss my warm van, how I hate the heavy bags of mail.
Can you believe my rotten luck?
Already my body is showing warning signs. To think that I was a 'walker' for five years but my time driving clearly has softened me up, sigh.
Only two weeks to go and I have to do the same walk next week!
After tomorrow I'd have worked 68 hours including two night shifts...I must be mad.
Two...weeks...to...go....

I can sympathise with Ogg here actually...

I used to work as a Medic in the Prison Service, and I can assure you that Christmas is a VERY bad time in the Criminal Justice System. Lots of cons get very depressed, and the rate of suicide/attempted suicide skyrockets during this period....

Having to rescucitate someone who has attempted to hang themselves on Christmas day is not funny, believe me! You are continually on edge, as disputes/incidents are always breaking out as the inmates feel the isolation ever more keenly....Ok, they are there to serve their time, but we were still charged with looking after their health, and this time of year made it all the more difficult.
Ach, if Dougie was here he'd tell you himself....
