Yes, Happy, I am. But it was a good laugh, no worries.

And you do have logic, dear, even though you are female. One just needs to know when to use it and when not to. *wink*

sure didn't, wish i had! it prob would've dissolved my fears!

the thing that irks me is that abuse is an issue around the world, & i feel terrible if i say 'geez what a stupid movie' because i feel like i'm turning a blind eye to the problem. grr.

the movie didn't make a lot of sense & it didn't have a happy ending. i loved Rose Red cause it had a happy ending. all the dead people ate the bad lady. but nooooo! not in this movie!! at the end they're like 'we managed to save the house!' -- oh great. now it can torture more people. what fun!

That makes me more interested in seeing it because I hate neat, happy endings. Very few of my favourite films, recently, have had predictable happy endings which, to be honest, I find a little trite.

For the perfect way to finish a filmproperly, watch Return of the King which is a wonderfully bitterswqeet ending

I remember a rather stupid Japanese film called The House Where Evil Speaks. A Japanese man and woman were comitting adultery when another man comes in, chops the other man into bits , kills the woman, then himself. Another couple buys the house , the rest makes no sense and then they end up like the original ghosts. No happy ending. Is the Grudge similar?
I love my Welshman.

i did watch it!! i loved it..& i hated it..& then i loved it again!! :-D

rushlight, kinda/sorta! the movie starts with Peter jumping off the balcony of his umpteen-story apartment with his wife watching. the story is based on a japanese girl (who's married) & she falls in love with an american guy (BILL PULLMAN!! :-D :-D )..well anyway, she writes all this in a journal, and the guy (the character's name is Peter) doesn't know she exists, which is really sad. well, this gal has a son & a cat. she comes home one day to find her husband reading the journal..UHOH! he closes the book, grabs her & the cat, sticks them under til they can't breathe, then beats the girl senseless & rips out her jaw out (which is featured on the floor of the attic earlier in the movie) while the little boy is watching. then he takes the boy, the cat, & the book & sticks them in a closet with tape all over it so they can't get out. it's really sad if you stick with it til the end. this is finally revealed to you at the end of the movie, the girl uses her little boy ghost to lure him into the house & then shows him the journal & plays back what happened to her in Peter's mind. she lets him escape so he'll be stuck with that thought forever. it's so sad!! the thing that makes it scary is that the movie eliminates one-by-one the places that are safe to hide. the girl can go outside the house, as soon as you step on the property you're hers. she can become part of your body. she crawls up the bedsheets to get to one girl. it's just..scary! :P me & my friend decided at one of the really scary parts that we needed jordan..somehow he just makes everything alright! he's just a really good friend of ours that is hilarious & would make us laugh through it..that's the only way i get through scary movies & why i LOVED Rose Red!!

anyways..don't get me wrong, it's an awesome movie, just not one for the unexperienced in movies with unhappy endings! there was some RETARDED family who brought their 5yrold daughter to the movie..OMG I WAS SOOOOO MAD AT THEM YOU DON'T BRING A LITTLE GIRL TO A MOVIE LIKE THAT!! the poor thing was crying her eyes out after the movie..    AWW!! poor thing i just wanted to give her a great big hug!!

I watched the Grudge last night

Post by Lady M »

Hi everyone

I watched the Grudge last night but I didnt really like it. I thought it was really predictable and I was kind of bored. I like scary movies, they can be fun to go and watch with friends, but I went last night and I saw the movie, did not really care for it. The idea was sort of repetitive in my opinion- there was a little bit of The Ring tied into it- so I felt anyways. I was really expecting more from it- it really did not scare me at all. But for everyone who did enjoy it thats cool.
