help with comp

Post by schuette »

I've tried downloading yahoo messenger onto my pals comp ...she's had it on the comp before and it worked fine....it stopped working, it wouldn't let you login so i thought I uninstall it then re-install it but it says it cant install as 'Could not communicate to the network server, error 25'....does anyone know what this means and how it can be solved?

could this maybe be it ?

Error #25 An error occurred while writing data to the network.
This error usually indicates that something happened to the network connection; modem hang-up, physical wiring problem, RealAudio Server or RealServer problem or too much network traffic.

Check that your network connection is still active. If it is, it is recommended that you try the clip as a less busy time.

Could also be that this machine is crashing because you try to download version 6.0...seems to happen a lot lately...maybe it's best to try and install a little older version of Yahoo....best of luck with it !

You might try it by sending yourself some e-mail, but I reckon it's still alive cause if not you wouldn't be posting here....it's an odd problem if you ask me...I would die to come an actually check this thing out myself...it's always tricky judging from a distance :-D
