It pays to be a geek these days....and the geeks of today aren't like the geeks of 20 years ago. We may still do the D&D thing, comic books, Star Trek, etc., but the pocket protectors, dorky glasses, and mom's station wagon have been replaced by tattoo's, piercings, and Harley's.ElfDude wrote:The tides have turned. Funny. It doesn't show...by-tor wrote:I wouldn't know....I went to private schools.EndlesslyRocking wrote:I mean, I'm sure I'm no match for a product of the widely respected Louisianna Public School system, but I get by....
Private schools in Louisianna...that means class was held in a double-wide, right?

I did however attend two of my last three years of high school in the St. Tammany Parish Public School system....

The year I wasn't in the public school system for high school (my Junior year), I was at the Louisiana School for Math, Sciences & Arts.

And was chosen for Louisiana Boy's State in 1985 (and for those of you who don't know what Boy's/Girl's State are in the differnt states...it just shows that you're a bit down on the evolutionary ladder

But prior to my three years in the public school system, I went to New Orleans Academy (private military school).
All this adds up to a 30 composite on the ACT (33 in Math), a CS degree, and top it off with the fact that I'm better looking than you.

While I respect the fact that you're comfortable with your 'imperfections', that doesn't mean you're ready for the cover of GQ.EndlesslyRocking wrote:Some hairy, stoned guy with a cheese grater? Whatever meds you're taking, up the dosage.
