Happy birthday to your little one.
Its nice to see so many proud fathers being unashamed of the way they feel about their daughters (and sons as the case may be)
I hear ya, Slaine... my son and my daughter are my eyes. I love them to the ends of the earth!
I couldn't have said it better myself. Myson will be four in December and I love the two of them to bits.
My son Nicholas will be 6 next February... It seems like yesterday I was holding my kids for the first time ever. Time goes too fast.
LEMME SHOW YA SUMTHIN....!!!!

My daughters are the reason I'm still alive.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

It is a good thing that you are alive, yes, I am quite glad of that!
But it is sad that you have gone through something that you survived only because of your girls.

Well, that's the old logotherapy as described in Man's Search for Meaning. When you've hit rock bottom you need to find your own personal reason for staying alive... or something like that. ER could describe it better. But basically at that time my kids needed me more than they needed anyone else. I was the only parent willing to to raise them. That was a good enough reason for me to stay alive. I didn't feel I had the inner strength to do it, but knew that I had to do it anyway. And after a few months of seeing it that way and following through on it, then I started to need them again as well. Consequently, we're a pretty tight threesome.

To get us back onto to track, these were taken two weeks ago in Matlock and I'm doing what I love doing most of all.
Incidentally, the little boy waving on the bottom picture is my son James
