Shitler! What a tribute!
I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

Not quite as funny as that one, but I remember there was a German Soccer player in the 1970s, who played many times for the West German National side, whose name translated into English as 'Wooden Leg'. Not speaking German, I can't remember what it was though.

Some French (or French-Canadians) have similar odd translations. We had a prime minister named Peter Waterhole (Pierre Trudeau).

I always found the name of the company Schwarzkopf, they make shampoo, soap, etc, funny - its actually German for Blackhead.

When I was a kid, my friends in Los Angeles used to make prank phone calls to a guy in the phone book named Harry Butt...
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

When I was at school there were a brother and sister called Andria and Perry. Their surname was Ness. My guess is their parents had a wierd sense of humour.

My old boyfriend, Billy had a girlfriend before me. Her name was Judy Hymen! No shinola!

She was a sweet gal but after High School (you can imagine!) she was VERY quick to get married!

I just remembered... in the neighborhood where I grew up there was a man named Howard Howard. I never asked him if his parents ever explained to him why they did that.

I also knew two people in church whose names weren't weird until church related titles came into play... Elder Gelder and Bishop Bishop.
