why did she not keep her own surname, had to be pretty bad to choose dumfart over it..

I'm pretty sure it's in Germany. That's not an uncommon German name.

Either that or her maiden name was Dimtwit...

I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

But they do speak German in Austria... and they uh... DO have German names...

I heard a story a few years ago about a European (non-English speaking) family named Hitler. They didn't want the connection with Adolf, so they changed their name to "Shitler".
