Escargots?
I've been asking people for fun, if they eat escargots, haven't found any others that have even tried them, then again liking them. They are quite tastey

I've had them twice and they are quite tasty. Seems to me quite alot of work for the reward. I ate them at my uncles place. They gathered them up themselves, soak overnight in cold water changing the water several times then boil. Care must be taken in the preperation. Perry Winkles nothing extravagant that's my limited experience at that.
I also ate alot of fish roe, again nothing fancy. We use to catch Herring by our hands and a net of course. Sqweeze their belly and if it showed eggs we kept them. That's something I ate every spring growing up. Very tasty to me, no one else ate them except my dad.
Matter of fact the spring run should be happening very soon. I have not had them in over ten years though.

I LOVE escargot! Sauteed in butter and garlic and eaten out of the shell. Dip some crusty bread in the "juice" afterwards.
I love all seafood, actually! Roe (beluga the best--yah--like I can afford it--only had it twice at a "function"--but I'll eat almost any kind), mussels, clams, oysters, steamers, periwinkles, and ALL shellfish!
The only kind of seafood I never "got into" was octopus (too rubbery) or squid (too slimy/stinky).

Mmmm! Sardines! Now yer talkin! I love all the "tinned" fish too! Sardines, peppered mackerel, kippers. They're all so good for you too with the calcium, protein and omega 3 except for the salt
. I even recently got into anchovies!!!! Put on a cracker with cream cheese to "cut" the salt.
Don't forget Charlie the Tuna! Even canned sockeye for chowder or croquettes.
*Kares looks at watch* No wonder I'm going nuts on this thread!!!! It's LUNCH TIME!!!
Heh heh...
BTW, not to stray TOO far from Escargot but I love all fresh fish too...halibut, salmon, cod, trout, flounder, cat fish, tuna, red snapper, roughy, sole, um...one gets the picture...off to the deli!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/rebel_biggrin.gif)
