Hey, I'm all about faster cars by opening the plates up.YYZ30 wrote:NA$$$$$CAR is changing the rules again.... *yawn*

That's GOOD news. Having to swap positions every lap isn't.
We also see who was quoted as being against the two-car-tango from the jump:
"What kind of move can you make in racing like this?" There ain't no
move you can make. You just hold it on the mat and try not to wreck into
each other." - DALE EARNHARDT JR.
On another DEJ note, Jr's losing the AMP sponsorship after this season
and Diet Mountain Dew picks it up from there.
Don't start none...won't be none.
My commute up I-95 to work in the morning is more exciting that that Bro.Walkinghairball wrote:fAST kART IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO MY WORK. iT KICKA ASS!!!!!!!!!

On the upside, there won't be much tandem racing on the track this year
either.
Testing at Daytona is HERE!

Junior's REAL happy with the EFI and spoiler package.

THE PACK IS BACK!
The PACK is running faster than the two car tango!
KyBu and Logano were holding 204 mph in the train!
WOOHOO!

DAMN! I can't wait.

I give NASCAR 24 hours to kill that 204 mph - they will size the plates back down.CygnusX1 wrote:THE PACK IS BACK!

Burton and Junior out during pack testing, the drivers like the new package.
Dale Jr is ecstatic.
The cars can run in a pack all day and not overheat.
I think there will be small tweaks to the front (grille) and the bigger RP
stays.
Don't start none...won't be none.
Well....here's the verdict:
After testing at Daytona, Nascar will keep the same restrictor plate and
spoiler on the Cup cars, but will increase the grille opening from 40
square inches to 50 square inches.
1-1/2 laps before overheating in tandem, but the cars were not
overheating in pack racing.
We'll still see some of the 2-car tango, but more pack racing as well.
Is it February 18th yet?![:-D](./images/smilies/003.gif)

Oh, so you watched the Shootout? Look at you go.
Well for one - the DRIVERS enjoyed it. I'll bet Gordon did too - even
when he was on his ROOF. 3 out of 5 drivers I saw in post-race
interviews liked the pack racing.
Did you see Dale Jr taking the lead numerous times? Dale Jr liked the
pack racing too.
We can only guess that KyBu liked it too - seeing that he won it - after
almost crashing 3 times.
Secondly, the radio "silence" between teams is meant to prevent spotters
and teams from making deals and staying in pairs.
Prior to the ruling, some drivers had radio communications with up to
TWENTY TEAMS. I think that is an unfair advantage. Hell, some spotters
worked for more than one driver, even from another team.
I liked the Shootout. It was the dog-eat-dog, dash-for-the-cash I
expected it to be.
The points races this weekend are going to be great.

*cutting to the meat and potatoes*
If I am going 200 mph on a track with 42 other cars around me *I* would like the ability to communicate with the other drivers - that's just me though.CygnusX1 wrote: Prior to the ruling, some drivers had radio communications with up to
