I do not - it saddened me to see the house though. Can you imagine being told that you have to start over with no chance of retrieving anything? No pictures, no tangibles, no anything but the clothes on your back...

Made me think.

*nods*

Yeah when I was a kid we were evacuated from our home with the clothes we were wearing and our pets. That night we were told our cabin was gone.

Thankfully, though, the firefighters were wrong. It wasn't our cabins they saw blowing up, it was the pine trees. So, I know the initial feeling, but your neighbors...they know the whole real deal. :(

Oh my. So, I guess the US Govt. is a Fender fan?

Really, this is crazy. Tageting one company when the whole industry does the same thing is just plain wrong. Someone needs a Gibby upside the head!

If that is the case, practically any U.S. - made guitar would be illegal.

According to the CEO of Gibson, competitors use pretty much the same
wood from the same source.

bighollywood.breitbart.com/jjmnolte/2011/08/27/report-gibson-competitor-is-dem-donor-uses-same-wood-experienced-no-federal-raids/

Let that settle in your craw for a bit....

Then, wonder why the liberal media has buried this story.

You'll have a good idea of what is REALLY going on here.

Some results from a poll released today by Gallup indicate record low government approval ratings:

Key Findings:

82% of Americans disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job.
69% say they have little or no confidence in the legislative branch of government, an all-time high and up from 63% in 2010.
57% have little or no confidence in the federal government to solve domestic problems, exceeding the previous high of 53% recorded in 2010 and well exceeding the 43% who have little or no confidence in the government to solve international problems.
53% have little or no confidence in the men and women who seek or hold elected office.
Americans believe, on average, that the federal government wastes 51 cents of every tax dollar, similar to a year ago, but up significantly from 46 cents a decade ago and from an average 43 cents three decades ago.
49% of Americans believe the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. In 2003, less than a third (30%) believed this.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Ends: October 1, 2011

h/t to Jayski.com

LAMB OF GOD lead guitarist Mark Morton is auctioning one of his stage

Rush was passed over for RRHOF inductee nomination yet again.

Honestly, at this point I'm convinced that the RRHOF is a joke.

Watch some rapper make it in this year.

RRHOF is just another popularity contest like the Grammys is - I am happy Heart got nominated, however if they don't make it in it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Don't let it take up an ounce of your brain Siggy - not worth it.

I wanted to follow up with this - apparently the sticker was not to vacate, but not to enter until the trees had been removed and the house deemed safe again.

The family moved back in 2 weeks ago after all of the storm debris was removed.

glad to hear that Zed!! :-)

on another note.. Do you think its possible that Rush has been asked if they want in to the hall of fame behind the scenes but have declined after so many years not getting in? If not that, I am wondering if the hall of fame's thought process is that if they were nominated they would probably decline after being dissed for so long and they dont want that embarrassment.

just a thought as I was reading the yahoo comments.. I was surprised that Yes was not in the HOF too.

I wonder who says who gets in and who doesnt? Judging from the responses I can't think it is the fans.. I know Rolling Stone has always been hard on Rush but I doubt the fellows care about any of this.. or maybe they do?
Happy 2015!

Much like the Grammys - it's industry people.

As far as the lads go:
