NA$CAR is a fuckin disgrace now - how does a car that passes pre-race inspection not pass post race? I call bullshit - who they wanted to win didn't win and therefore they took the win from Bowyer.
And Denny Hamlin? Someone needs to send Jimmy Spencer after him - Jimmy needs to shut Denny's fuckin yap for him.
Officially signing off of this thread - it's been real.
Easy there Zed...Nascar didn't take Bowyer's win away....but I do agree
that Denny needs a Jimmy Spencer "intervention."
Denny needs to learn that you don't mess with RCR.
During the Dover race it was explained that Nascar penalized Bowyer for the way the chassis was attached to the frame, not for the "near"
height violation.
(Besides, you don't suspend a Crew Chief for six Chase races and fine
him $150k for a height violation after a race.)
They pretty much nailed RCR on the chassis deal, so I believe that RCR
will lose their appeal of the penalties.
Sad thing is, Bowyer had little or nothing to do with it. That's where I call
FOUL.
Limit the punishment to the CC and Childress - not the driver.
I am with Zed on this one.. Why did Nascar let the car go through inspection then? If the chassis was attached to the frame incorrectly after the race than it was wrong before the race.. Nascar is bullshit anymore.. The Chase is bullshit too.. Looks like Jimmie Johnson is primed to win his 5th championship when the guy was completely of the radar the whole season..

He has the win in name however TPTB took 150 points from him and all but eliminating him from the Chase - Pyrrhic victory if I ever heard of it.
Why didn't NASCAR's inspectors catch this violation pre race? Soup is right - if the chassis was attached wrong why did it pass? NASCAR isn't exactly forthcoming about this explanation either...
