NE plays (arguably) the easiest division rivals in the league, but Indy gets
NE's 2007 schedule....so, what's not to like?

Uh, have you seen the Pats schedule the next 5 weeks?????
No, but I do realize that it's their toughest schedule under Belichick. EVER.

11 teams were over .500 last year, 7 were 11-game winners and 5 of 8
NE home games are against playoff teams, so it's definitely no cake
walk, but...

I was referring to NE's AFC East opponents...

Buffalo at 4-4... that's as good as it gets so far, so you guys pretty much
are gonna lock the division up. NE's almost guaranteed 5 wins there.
However, Pats struggle at Miami and home vs the Jets usually, regardless of record. That's what killed a playoff spot last year, and we already lost to the Jets this year.

2003 may have been the toughest under Coach Bill.

2003 was a very impressive NFL season.
The Pats became the first team ever to beat SEVEN teams with 10 wins and the first to ever beat THREE teams with 12 wins - Philly, Indy and Tenn - in the regular season.

Then they beat Indy and Tenn again in the playoffs.

They also won 15 in a row, running the table after starting 2-2.

1 Sun Sept 7 @ Buffalo Bills 0-31 L
2 Sun Sept 14 Philadelphia Eagles 31-10 (12 wins)
3 Sun Sept 21 New York Jets 23-16
4 Sun Sept 28 @ Washington Redskins 17-20 L
5 Sun Oct 5 Tennessee Titans 38-30 (12 wins)
6 Sun Oct 12 New York Giants 17-6
7 Sun Oct 19 @ Miami Dolphins 19-13 (10 wins)
8 Sun Oct 26 Cleveland Browns 9-3
9 Mon Nov 3 @ Denver Broncos 30-26 (10 wins)
10 Bye Week
11 Sun Nov 16 Dallas Cowboys 12-0 (10 wins)
12 Sun Nov 23 @ Houston Texans 23-20 OT
13 Sun Nov 30 @ Indianapolis Colts 38-34 (12 wins)
14 Sun Dec 7 Miami Dolphins 12-0 (10 wins)
15 Sun Dec 14 Jacksonville Jaguars 27-13
16 Sat Dec 20 @ New York Jets 21-16
17 Sat Dece 27 Buffalo Bills 31-0

Playoffs

Sat January 10 Tennessee Titans 17-14 (12 wins)

Sun January 18 Indianapolis Colts 24-14 (13 wins at the time)

Super Bowl
Sun February 1 Carolina Panthers 32-29 (13 wins at the time)

^^^ Impressive!

Indy is the fourth team in league history with 17 straight regular-season
wins. New England did it twice -- winning a record 21 straight from
2006-08 and 18 in a row from 2003-04. Chicago won 17 straight from
1933-34.

Jim Caldwell became the NFL's first rookie coach to start 8-0 since
Potsy Clark in 1930.

Peyton Manning, a three-time MVP, tied Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton for
fourth in career victories (125) and became the first player in league
history to throw for 40,000 yards in one decade.

Tight end Dallas Clark caught 14 passes, the third-highest single-game
total by an NFL tight end.

With eight receptions, Reggie Wayne moved past Hall of Famer
Raymond Berry and into second on the Colts' career reception list.

Star NFL Running Back Released After [Edit] Slurs,
Comments on Coach

Monday, November 09, 2009

KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? Larry Johnson's record-breaking career as
a Kansas City running back is over.

The Chiefs confirmed Monday that they had run out of patience with his
off-the-field problems and released Johnson the day he was due to come
back from his second suspension in a year.

Johnson, who turns 30 on Nov. 19, was just 75 yards away from breaking
Priest Holmes' team rushing record.

Johnson should have stayed.

I am sick and tired of the PC police having a strangle hold on our society.

No, I don't agree with what he said, but c'mon, man! To ruin a man's career just because he said something? Get freakin' real!

I don't think they were Bro.

Their $100M man got caught on the hard count not ONCE - but TWICE.

LeVar Arrington has a sports talk radio show on 106.7 FM here on my ride
home.

He was SCREAMING at the 'skins D yesterday. He was LIVID.

Mr. Hall needs to take the skirt off, grow a set, shut his mouth and learn what a late hit is.

Saints are ripe for an upset,
but I'll pass.

NO 12-0.
