Tickets on sale Saturday.....me and my buds are going.
Hope it's a god guest host.

Haven't been to Raw since maybe Mankind beat the Rock in the same building many years ago.
Rah is Wah! :headbang:

Hey, have some extra fun after the matches, and hang out at the service
entrances to the building and watch the superstars hop into their rental
cars, like commuters. Some of 'em even stop and chat for a while.

We do it at Richmond all the time!

Good times Bro, good times. hahaha

Funky, you're all over it Bro!

Check it out:

aaaaaaaaaand Hardy gets caught with drugs

The Moore County Sheriff?s Office confirmed with us moments ago that Jeff Nero Hardy was arrested today on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids.

During a search officers located and seized approximately 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and items of drug paraphernalia.

Hardy has been charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

At the time of the press release he was being held on $125,000 bond in the Moore County Detention Center.

Hardy, a multi-time WWE/World champion, left WWE at the end of August to heal up injuries and pursue a reality TV project and work with his band.

Point. "

Really? A submission match? And how entertaining would THAT be?

I can see Mysterio being able to get Ziggler in a submission hold. AS IF.

There's no good angle to it at all. They can't sell that.

I think they're actually saving us from throwing something through the TV
and believing we wasted our money.

It would be like a Mysterio/Big Show match. Are you kidding me?

the "every-match-has-the-same-gimmick" ppv's never make any sense -

-a gimmick match loses it's uniqueness the more often you use them - they no longer become special when you see them every week (eg cage matches)

-certain wrestlers are more adept at certain kinds of gimmick matches... forcing them into matches they're not used just makes them look bad, and takes away from the match (eg tag team of Dave Taylor and William Regal in a ladder match)

-as for submission matches... many wrestlers have not won buy submitting their opponents... so now we're supposed to believe they're capable of doing that in a championship match? All of a sudden HHH is a master at the sharpshooter and HBK the figure four???

I gave my wallet a break and let this PPV slide.

I'd much rather spend it on the Mayweather fight coming up. :headbang:

In reality, she's competing against other Republicans for the nod.

However, her intent gives me much respect for her.

from what I read, it was n't that great a match

going back a few months though, I do recall HBK putting someone in a crossface, though the hold did not result in a submissio... would hav thought that move woul dbe banned (for obvious reasons not related to safety)

It's a variation of the chickenwing, so it's nothing special.

Look for the "Overspanker" to try it soon! hahahaha

(He waited until the end of his career to finally learn some
technical 'rasslin'...Crazy!)

That's because he couldn't use his walker to walk the top rope like a tightrope

Oh, you mean when Overspanker does "Old School"?

(Why he hollered "Old School" before jumping off the top rope is beyond
me. I always wondered why his opponents never pushed him off the
rope when he did it, too.)

I guess they had to "sell it."

hahahaha

RIP Captain Lou.
Captain Lou Albano Dies: Pro Wrestler, Manager, Actor Was 76
Posted Oct 14, 2009 1:44PM By Michael David Smith (RSS feed)

Captain Lou Albano, the former professional wrestler whose WWF fame as a manager in the 1980s was surpassed by his crossover fame as a collaborator with Cyndi Lauper, has died. He was 76.

The New York Daily News reports:
He was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame in 1996, paying tribute to Albano's management of 15 WWE tag team champions and WWE title holder Ivan Koloff.
The colorful and kooky Albano was dubbed "The Guiding Light" for his "management" work.

"One of the company's most popular and charismatic legends," the WWE said in a statement. "He will be greatly missed."
Born Louis Vincent Albano, Captain Lou grew up in New York and briefly went to Tennessee on a football scholarship before turning his attention full-time to wrestling. He and his tag team partner Tony Altimore were known as The Sicilians and at one point in the 1960s held the WWWF tag team championship, but he was more famous to wrestling fans as a manager of popular wrestlers including the tag team champion British Bulldogs.

He found his greatest fame outside the ring working with Lauper, including appearing as her father in the "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" video. He continued to work as an actor in the 1990s.
