speaking of which, paid off my axe yesterday and megan asked how far about it was, they said just finishing, ready for the final stages (frets and electronics I assume) so it will definitely ship ontime, maybe early.ElfDude wrote:Awwwwwwwww YEAH!!!Sir Myghin wrote:my fender amp doesn't mind being plugged by carvins, but hey, thats the stuff amps dream of

I've only been through the build process once, back in 2002. I carried the catalog with me everywhere, showing whoever would look what I was waiting for!
My other one that I bought new from the factor was an in-stock, so I had it within 10 days. not the same at all.
The other two I bought used.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

This is my 3rd self torture session , the first one took 9-10 weeks to arrive, the bass took 12 to build and shipping on a Friday, then the states had a holiday , so didn't arrive til the NEXT Tuesday (worst episode ever). This one was quoted as 6 wk time, April 30th expected completion.
This wait has been a lot easier for some reason, probably the high powered exam expectations.

Don't start none...won't be none.
Congrats Myg. It'll be worth the wait, and aren't all good things worthSir Myghin wrote:This is my 3rd self torture session , the first one took 9-10 weeks to arrive, the bass took 12 to build and shipping on a Friday, then the states had a holiday , so didn't arrive til the NEXT Tuesday (worst episode ever). Also Elf, I would assume bolts take less long as neck and body can be made at the same time, and a standard neck is usually sat out drying premade. 6-8 wks was pretty standard 2 years ago when I orderred the first time, last year was a huge book that bumped it up around 12-16 I think. So more like back to normal, I would think.

UPS ninja deliverred my new axe today, it is fucking STELLAR!
here is the only pic I could get that is decent quickly, more when it is sunny.
Came out more honeyburst than sunset imo, but it looks fantastic.
As it is my first axe with a floyd, I had to play barracuda on it, just had to. It obliged sweetly.
