Hiya, buds. Thank you all for the concern. My department at work is being dissolved and I'm pretty sure I will lose my job very soon. I'm hanging on by a thread right now (mentally and figuratively) but I'm hopeful that things will turn out okay. It may cause gaps in my attendance from time-to-time, but I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye....or leaving a will.
Also, yes. That filthy, unhealthy habit that we spoke of is a thing of the past for me. I don't even think about it anymore. Thanks for the support there as well.
Hugs all 'round!

A mixture of bad news and good. Sigh. Big congrats on kicking the habit. You and your employment circumstances will be in my prayers.
Things are a little scary here too. 5% cut in pay. And my hours have been cut about 20% on top of that. Trying to be optimistic that things will turn around, rather than get worse.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Thanks again for the good wishes everyone. Some bad bits are, of course, the lack of good-paying jobs to apply for, I'm not as young as I was, and losing a decade of seniority. The worst part is informing the 20 people on my team that I've known, depended on and grown with all of these years that we will probably not see each other much anymore (some never again) and that they now have to languish, like myself, in a job market that doesn't need or want anyone.
Still, chins up. One day at a time. Who's the Boss? Good Times. Sanford And Son.
