Dusti's tournament team was in Kent Washington this weekend. They won their first 3 games rather convincingly, but got knocked out of the tournament in their first game Sunday morning.
Dusti was at bat 7 times.
3 hits 2 singles 1 double
2 RBI's, scored 2 runs, and walked once.
Batting average .428 on base percentage .571
Defensively,
Center field 2 innings, 1 grounder fielded
Right field 1 inning, 1 grounder fielded
First base 3 innings, made 2 outs
Pitching 5 innings, 6 strikeouts, 5 throw outs. No runs scored against her.
All in all, a very good outing for Dusti.
Her team was owned in their first game Sunday morning. First time this has happened, but the girls held their heads high, and their character as a team is that much stronger. I don't want to be the next team to face them!
As a proud mum I must say that the team they got owned by is strictly a tournament team. Each player pays $1000 fee when they get on the team each year and they practice each week together and play a tournament every weekend for 12 weeks. This was our second tournament and their fourth at least.
Our girls play Babe Ruth in addition to the tournament team. When they play on the Babe Ruth teams during the week, they don't all play on the same tea;, there are two on this team, one on that, three on another,... And they only have two tournaments in April and one in May that they are playing, then there will be a different version of the tournament team going to State, sooo....I think our girls still did well, considering.

what ever happened to the days when kids played ball for the fun and
to learn sportsmanship??
Now it's all about the money and winning at any cost...Not cool.
But hey....Dovey has nothing to worry about with stats like those!

I wish I knew what that meant...but Ive no idea...
Dusti went 2 for 5 at the plate with a couple singles. She stole 3 bases, including home.
Defensively, she played catcher. She made no throw outs, but she was a vacuum, allowing only 3 steals all game. This was her first time behind the plate.
