Is that what the last 8 years have been? I'm just bringing my head up from the hanging position at this point. Yay now!

I thought the interview was alright. Nice to see "O" can take a joke.

I hear people are kind of twisted over the Special Olympic joke...... :?

If it was a legit comedian that would have said it, there wouldn't be a second thought over it. I found it kind of funny.

If it were from a comedian, it WOULD be funny! But it wasn't. It was from what is considered the leader of the free world.

There was a day when holding the office of President of the United States was highly esteemed, and graciously held. I know the latter is not.

Perhaps highly esteemed and graciously held on the surface. Behind that facade hiding corruption and deception at the highest level, it is refreshing to see the top dog speaking in terms of openness and transparency. If he just happens to have comedic talents, all the better.

Also, like a human and a gentlemanly one, Barack apologized to the Special Olympics chairman before the show even aired and to everyone else after. Boosh never did anything like that. His gaffs, to this day, hang there in the air like death.

Special Olympics bowler: I can beat the president

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - The top bowler for the Special Olympics looks forward to meeting President Barack Obama in an alley.

"He bowled a 129. I bowl a 300. I could beat that score easily," Michigan's Kolan McConiughey (KO-lahn Mc-KAHNA-he) told The Associated Press in an interview Friday.

The athletic-minded president made an offhand remark Thursday on "The Tonight Show" comparing his weak bowling to "the Special Olympics or something." He quickly apologized and told the Special Olympics chairman he wants to have some of its athletes visit the White House to bowl or play basketball.

McConiughey, who is mentally disabled, is just the bowler for the job. He's bowled five perfect games since 2005.

The 35-year-old McConiughey has been bowling since he was 8 or 9. His advice for Obama? Practice every day.

Well that is cool of him. I hope the guy rips him up on the lanes.

I'm sure that if you are the parent of a special needs child, you would
have a problem with the remark.

What if he said he bowled like somebody on Jenny Craig or
Weight Watchers?

As a fat guy I would have a problem with it, but I'd just head for the
fridge, eat the shame away and move on.

bring it on....I just went to the store. It's all good.

Nitpicky folks, way to nitpicky.

Had he said, "I bowl like a drooling retard" THEN there would be an issue.

****By the way, I hate that I even typed that, but I had to make my point.***

Is the issue of political correctness neutering this country.................yes.

This joke is proof.

I'd hug your retarded husk if I could, Leon. That's what I'm sayin'. :-)

I'll take that bet. If I was Dad to Corky I'd better have a sense of humor or I'd be a crazed murderer.

Unless the dieter wore corduroy pants that did that "flit-flat" noise when hulking thighs rub together, I don't even see the horrible funny.

Villagers burn girl alive in India
A teenager has been burned to death at her home in India in an "honour killing" by neighbours.

Four residents of her village in Ghaziabad, north India, allegedly set the 16-year-old Muslim girl alight after they suspected her of having a relationship with a boy.

Police claim residents kept a vigil on her house as they noticed the boy visited her frequently when her father was away.

The four men then beat her, doused her with kerosene and set her on fire.

District police chief Akhil Kumar said: "The four men came to the girl's house and demanded to know why the young man frequently visited her. The girl's younger sister, who felt the visitors were getting violent, ran out of the house.

"Meanwhile, the accused beat up the girl and then set her on fire with kerosene oil."

She gave a dying statement to the police saying the accused beat her and set her on fire.

Vijay Singh, station officer at Bhojpur police station in Ghaziabad, said: "The girl has succumbed to her injuries. We have been looking for the four men accused in this case. One of them has been caught and charged with murder."
so sad..

And these people say they are "protecting the honor of women" by doing things like this and throwing acid on girls who go to school. :x
